Harriet's dream

All began once upon a time in Africa [1]. To be more precise, in Accra, the capital of Ghana [2], with the big dream of a little girl [3]. The girl Harriet Dansowaa Ani-Agyei (Harriets maiden name) [4] lived in Adabraka, one of the better town quarters, but regularly visited her grandmother who lived in Bukom [5, 6, 7, 8]], one of the slums of the big city. There Harriet saw chldren of her age, who were not fed regularly, had no decent clothes, slept on the blank floor, and, what seemed worst to her, had no money to go to school.

Back then, Harriet had the dream that she would one day be able to help the children from Bukom! Fate brought her to Düsseldorf in 1991, where she had to give up a number of her lifes dreams. But even at the lowest points in her life, she never lost sight of her dream to help her Bukom children [9]. For this dream she was later willing to make enormous sacrifices! She ist he motor of the African Angel association, because it is her childhood dream. But and this is what makes her so special she is able to make her concern that of many others! Wherever she speaks of her children with great enthusiasm, listeners do not remain untouched. And so she understood gathering people around her who support the realization of her dream with great energy and expert knowledge [10].

It is part of Harriets dream to show her children the beauty of Ghanas nature. For example the Boti waterfalls and their magical surroundings. [11, 12].
